Effective July 26, 2026.
Byobu publishes plain-language guides on women’s health. This page explains what data the site handles and how.
What we collect
Visiting a page leaves the technical data every web server records: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site online and to understand which guides are read, not to identify individuals.
If you write to us, we hold the message and your email address only for as long as it takes to answer.
Cookies
The site sets a cookie to remember your light/dark reading preference. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by us.
Third-party services
Pages are delivered through standard hosting and caching infrastructure, which processes the technical data above on our behalf. Embedded media from other services, where present, is governed by that service’s own policy.
Retention
Server logs rotate automatically. Correspondence is deleted once the exchange is finished.
Your rights
You may ask what data relating to you the site holds, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to editor@byobu.co.
Children
The site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 16.
Medical note
Byobu is an editorial publication. Nothing here is medical advice, and it does not replace a consultation with a qualified clinician.
